There are 19 different kinds of penguins. Some penguins are fairy, galapagos, rockhopper, yellow-eyed, african, royal, macaroni, adelie, humbolt, chinstrap, gentoo, king, and emperor.

A layer of blubber keeps them warm.  Soft feathers trap heat. They have stiff, oily feathers on top to keep out water.   Flippers act like boat paddles to push and steer.  They have big eyes to see underwater.  - Leah

Emperor penguin is the biggest at four feet tall.
